Day 74 Today's reading: 2 Ne 33:1-15

Question of the day: When has the Lord asked you to do something and you followed through simply for the sake of obedience? What blessings did you see in your life following that act of faith?

Not sure I have an answer for this morning's question.  But I find I like these concluding remarks from Nephi, because he really wants people to know that what he has written is for the welfare of their souls. What he wrote he wrote because it was given him of God. He tells us that it was given him to help us, to help many future generations. And this is the same kind of message we get at the end of the Book of Mormon with Mormon and Moroni. The know conclusively that the words of these scriptures are not for their people but for us.

I also like how Nephi uses the name Jesus at the beginning of the chapter then uses Christ through the rest. I'm sure I don't fully understand why, but it does give a sense of going from a more familiar awareness to a less familiar, more formal discussion.
