Question of the day: Why was it important for Nephi to have a "great desires to know of the mysteries of God?"

Desire is where it all begins. Sometimes the most important step we can take is to pray for a desire or a willingness to do something. When we do the Lord will bless us to move a little closer to action. Action always leads to confirmation and greater desire and willingness to take another step.
