Question of the day: Why is it so important to keep the commandments? And how does keeping the commandments allow us to be a light unto others?
Jesus tells the people that He fulfilled the law of Moses. This was the great law of justification, by which if someone kept every aspect of the law completely, they were saved. Jesus, I am sure, kept the law perfectly and in that way fulfilled the law. I firmly believe there are other ways in which he fulfilled the law, not the least of which was by performing the atonement, which allows for the higher law that does supplant the Law of Moses.
