Mosiah 2:36 talks about withdrawing ourselves from the Spirit of the Lord. This reminded me of Pres. Eyring's talk about pavilions, from October 2012. He taught that sometimes we keep ourselves from his direction either because we pursue our own personal ambitions and/or we do not accept his timetables. I believe this is exactly what I needed to hear, feel, and think about today. I will pray about it but I believe the Lord wants me to keep my heart and mind focused on the here and now - school work, time with my family, my job and how I perform it. I can do more to be complete in the life I have before me now. How satisfying it is to be successful at the simple things before me and not always be trying to look ahead for the next project, activity, or whatever. I hope to more fully follow the promptings of the spirit to accomplish all that needs to be done with the life I have been given at this time.
