Doesn't this remind us of 3 Nephi 1 when at the time Christ was to be born the people who were believers were going to be put to death by the wicked if the sign of His birth did not appear. The wicked were so unbelieving that they asked for the sign, saying let Him come. Then when he actually came, after his death, he came with destruction for the wicked this is a foreshadowing of what well happen at the Second Coming.
