2 Nephi 7:8 I Will Smite Him with the Strength of My Mouth

I'm not sure in this verse if it is a messianic voice or Isaiah's personal words, but either way it reminded me of D&C 11:21.  Seek first to obtain my word ...then you'll have it when you need it.  God can and does give us more and stronger power to speak as we invest in knowing his words.  Spending time with it day in and day out is a blessing that has no measure -- it is strength and it provides joy. I love it. It brings me closer to Jesus and I love Him.  I have felt more of Father's love lately too.  The goodness of scripture study seems to build on itself.

I struggle to understand or feel confident to write commentary on the words of Isaiah; it is for me like receiving lessons in Calculus.  I enjoy the conversation, but do not understand it well enough to make a commentary in return.  However, I do continue to study it because it is a commandment and my expectation is that over time more and more of it will open up as valuable to prepare for the last days, the preparation for the Second Coming of the Savior.
