Lehi knew his life and the life of each of his family members had been preserved, because he knew Jerusalem would be destroyed. Nephi confirms the destruction at some point. Laman and Lemuel don't believe. How was I blessed to be led out and away from companies and cities that would have been our downfall while transitioning between jobs?
The cross-references take us through the experiences of Lot and his wife being led out of Soddom and Gomorah just before they were destroyed. This story was one that I thought on frequently after making my decision about where I would work.
