We see the Love of the Lord as he gives this new commandment to Lehi to have Nephi and the boys go back to Jerusalem to gather Ishmael's family to come down out of Jerusalem to never go back. And this commandment comes as a great blessing to the family as Lehi so that the children might have spouses - that they might not be alone.
What a blessing to Ishmael and his family, that they might not be destroyed. That each of his daughters might have a spouse.
Every opportunity to serve is an opportunity to be blessed. We find Nephi saying that he and his father had kept all of the commandments of the Lord. That was so important to him. We also see that he recognizes how exceedingly blessed he was for having kept those commandments. 1 Nephi 16:8
