Sheep, Silver, and Prodigal Sons - How much do we matter - Luke 15

It is really a short chapter and there are three parables.  They seem to have a similar message, the worth of a soul.  It is so pleasing to get the same message in my conference talk selection as in my scripture study.  Pres Uchtdorf teaches that "we matter to Him".  Luke 15 teaches us how much we matter to Him.  We are as the one sheep gone astray that they go find and bring back.  We are as the silver piece lost in the house that must be searched for until we are found. We are the prodigal son returning.  I know there are other lessons that can be pulled from these three parables, but feel so filled with Fathers love as I think about the father of the prodigal son and his show of love for his lost son.  He saw his returning son from a great way off - he was always watching for his sons return, this father would always be the first to see his son returning.  When he saw his son he had compassion, what feelings of love and happiness were in his heart at his son's return.  So much that he ran to him and fell on his neck and with affection kissed him.  This verse seems to speak so much to me of that love that Father and Jesus have for us that we must seek out and learn to feel.  It fills all the holes and gaps that leave us wanting more and trying to slake a thirst that won't be quenched.  That love is the only satisfying food for our souls.
