Most of this first chapter is the genealogy of Jesus from Abraham down until Jesus which is 3 sets of 14. For some reason I thought it was interesting that Joseph's father's name was Jacob. Seems a relevant name for someone that close to the Savior.
What a unique time for this couple, Joseph and Mary, to have so many out of the ordinary things happen as they get married and then for Joseph to be so respectful of Mary and her Holy Child as to not 'know' her until after the baby was born.
