This is truly one of the great stories of the scriptures. What a miracle that the A-N-L could convert so many people just by lying down in front of those that would come to kill them. The conclusion of this chapter is so important for us to understand. It says, "And thus we can plainly discern, that after a people that have once been enlightened by the Spirit of God, and have had great knowledge of things pertaining to righteousness, and then have fallen away into sin and transgression, they become more hardened, and thus their state becomes worse than though they had never known these things."
Me and my family have been enlightened by the Spirit of God, if we decide to leave the gospel, the church, and the things of righteousness that we know we lose that Spirit and become worse than had we not known these things.
