The great work of the Lord to proceed forth through the future. The two most significant events that stick out to me here are the work of the Lord to free those in spirit prison and the gathering and raising up of Israel in the last days.
How happy w are to know that the Lord loves all His children enough to have a way for them to be saved. And for those in spirit prison this is something off a second chance. He shows forth his mercy.
Earlier in the chapter we learn that He is a polished sword --does this not represent His justice?
Regardless, The plan of Salvation is perfect, and brings comfort, joy, and peace to those who will believe and follow.
